Sandra Hansen's hostas and iris plants were pruned extensively in the fall to make this paper. Both leaves and stems were gathered, soaked, cooked and beaten in a Holland Beater. Before beating, the best leaves were pulled aside to inlay into the hosta pulp. Some of the iris leaf pulp was pigmented turquoise. The result is this exquisite paper. When it dried a lovely wavy shape formed.
